1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Peti mobile application and related services (together, "Peti", the "App", or the "Service").

Peti is operated by Mandala Colectivo LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India, registered office at Hyderabad, India ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading, creating an account on, or using Peti, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Indian law to use Peti. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements. The App is currently offered primarily to users in India.

3. Your Account

You sign in using your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP) sent by SMS. You are responsible for:

• providing accurate account information and keeping it up to date;
• maintaining control of the mobile number and device linked to your account; and
• all activity that occurs under your account.

Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. You may delete your account at any time from within the App.

4. What Peti Does — and Does Not Do

Peti is a record-keeping and reminder tool for pet owners. It lets you store your pets' health information, scan documents to create records, and receive reminders about upcoming due dates.

Peti is not a veterinary service and does not provide veterinary or medical advice. Nothing in the App is a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified veterinarian. Reminders (for example vaccination or medication due dates) are conveniences to assist you and may be affected by device settings, connectivity, or notification permissions — you should not rely on them as your sole means of tracking your pet's health needs. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for decisions about your pet's health, and follow their guidance over any information in the App.

5. AI Document Scanning

Peti offers an optional feature that uses artificial intelligence to read documents you scan (such as vaccination cards or vet bills) and suggest structured record details. To add a pet's profile photo or scan a document, you may either take a photo with your device camera or choose an existing image from your photo gallery — Peti accesses your camera and photos only when you take these actions, and you can manage these permissions in your device settings.

• AI extraction is provided on a best-effort basis and may contain errors or omissions. Each scan is presented for your review and confirmation before it is saved.
• You are responsible for checking the accuracy of any AI-extracted information before relying on it.
• The scanning feature is subject to the monthly scan limits of your plan. If an image is not a recognisable pet health document, the scan may be rejected and, in that case, will not count against your scan quota.
• You must only scan documents you own or are authorised to use.

6. Subscriptions, Free Trial, and Billing

6.1 Plans and free trial

Peti offers a free trial followed by paid subscription plans with different pet and AI-scan limits. Current plan features and prices are shown in the App at the point of purchase and may change from time to time.

6.2 Autopay and renewal

When you start your free trial, you may be asked to set up an autopay mandate through the app store so that your subscription begins automatically when the trial ends, unless you cancel beforehand. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods (monthly or yearly, as selected) until cancelled.

6.3 Payments through the app stores

All payments, trials, renewals, and autopay mandates are processed through Apple App Store (In-App Purchase), Google Play Billing, and RevenueCat. Your purchase is also subject to the terms of the relevant app store. We do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details.

6.4 Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then. Refunds are governed by the policies of Apple and Google, through whom the purchase is made; we generally cannot directly issue refunds for app-store purchases. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6.5 Changes to plans and prices

We may change plan features, limits, or prices. Where changes affect an ongoing subscription, we will provide notice as required by the app stores and applicable law. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

6.6 Plan limits and downgrades

Each plan has a maximum number of pets and monthly AI scans. If you downgrade to a plan that allows fewer pets, access to pets above the new limit may be locked (newest first) until you upgrade again. Your data is not deleted when a plan expires or is downgraded — it becomes temporarily inaccessible and is restored if you resubscribe or upgrade.

6.7 Trial or subscription expiry

If your trial ends without a successful payment, or a subscription lapses, access to paid features may be restricted through a paywall. Your stored data is retained (subject to our Privacy Policy) and becomes accessible again when you subscribe.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to upload;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App, other users' data, or our systems;
• interfere with, disrupt, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent security, plan limits, subscription controls, or scan quotas;
• copy, resell, or commercially exploit the App or its content without our permission; or
• use automated means to access the Service in a manner that harms or overloads it.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Service.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of the pet information, records, and documents you add to Peti ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including AI scanning, reminders, and backup). You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its name, logo, design, text, graphics, and software (excluding Your Content and third-party materials), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

10. Third-Party Services

Peti relies on third-party services (including Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Anthropic, Google AdMob, Firebase, Expo, and MSG91) to function. Your use of the App may also be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, or content of third-party services.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders or AI extractions will be timely, delivered, or accurate.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the App, missed reminders, AI-extraction errors, or any decision affecting your pet's health. Always consult a veterinarian.
• Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator and its partners, employees, and service providers from any claims, damages, or costs arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of Peti after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any applicable law, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App.
